In this guide, instructions will be given on how to setup BitTorrent, using the Azureus 2.2.0.2 client. In order to run Azureus you will also need to install the Java Runtime Environment.
You can download Azureus from here http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ and the Java Runtime Environment from here http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp (click the link that says "Download JRE"). You should use this version (J2RE 5.0 JRE) because it results in lower resource usage.
Install the JRE and Azureus before starting this guide.
This guide will mainly focus on using Windows XP, but you can still follow it using other platforms, it just won’t be as step by step.
