Test torrent
I found a nice legal torrent, with a good seed/leech ratio, and using a port 80 tracker (the type with which TPG's proxy gives trouble). Give it a test and see how it goes.

Remember that with torrents, you have to give them time to get going, before they start downloading fast.
Here is some screen shots of me downloading it after setting up the override IP option.
I also gave the same torrent a go without anything in the "Override IP address" box and I got slower speeds (although the speed gradually increased due to the high seed/leech ratio), and was not connectable (yellow smilely, all local connections).
The thing you really want is the green smilies on this torrent. It means you are setup correctly. You may get good speeds on this certain torrent even if you only got yellow smilies, but it means you are not setup correctly and you might get bad speeds on other torrents.
